To close off the year, I am proud to be teaming up with Aġenzija Żgħażagħ to deliver a workshop titled Propaganda, Prejudices, and the Perils of Sweeping Statements. This workshop uses the powerful speech from The Great Dictator as a starting point for discussion and discovery.

We believe in the transformative power of theatre to challenge perspectives, spark dialogue, and inspire change. Through this workshop, we aim to equip students with the tools to critically analyze the messages they encounter every day and reflect on how sweeping statements and propaganda shape our world.

This is more than just a workshop, it's a call to think critically and act compassionately. Together, let's explore how theatre can make us better thinkers, creators, and citizens.

And so The Great Dictator has come to an end. 18 months of work have culminated in a successful two-week run and all positive reviews. I couldn't be prouder of the work the team has put into this project, everyone put their all into it and made something exceptional together.

Special mention must go to Malcolm Galea who adapted and directed the show. He came in with immense energy and took this project under his wing. He took a great 1940's film and, through his vision, made it a great 2020's theatre production! He was patient, generous and a true leader to the cast and crew.

A huge thank you to the amazing cast: Hannah Spiteri, Jeremy Grech, Peter Galea, Joe Depasquale, Irina Garrett and of course, Jamie Cardona! They took Malcolm's amazing script and brought multiple roles to life beautifully. I will grow old remembering their performances and laughing.

The team behind the scenes also deserves a mention. Moritz Zavan Stoechle, Caroline Curmi, Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur, Marco Mallia, Christopher Gatt, Krista Zammit Marmara, Justin Kyle Camilleri, Giorgia Vella, Stephen Grech, Jody Magri, Yaz Mirabella, Francesca Xuereb, Greta Grech, Pamela Kerr, Matthew Ben Attard and Elisa Von Brockdorff all gave their all in their own way. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone but they all were crucial to putting this production together and helping it run smoothly.

Most importantly, I need to thank everyone on the team for trusting me as a producer. Having never produced a show before, I understand I was an unproven commodity. I don't overlook their trust in me to bring this production to the finish line successfully. I will forever be grateful to them for this.

Anyway, enough yapping for today. Thank you to everyone who was part of this show or saw it.

Moving on to the next one. Exciting things are coming!
