Onto 2024!

In late 2022 I decided to step back and take the upcoming year to plan ahead and set the wheels in motion on some exciting projects.

2023 had a few projects I'm proud of, most notably Pastizz x'Jaħbat (Chewing Productions), Chair (Adrian Buckle), Musical Matchup: The Who's Who Cabaret (The Shrinking Violets/Indigo Collective) and my directorial debut in Tennessee Williams' Interior: Panic (MADC). Misfit Originals keeps steadily growing, with The Late Night Show with James Ryder being a monthly staple and some exciting things ahead in the coming months.

However, it has been mostly about the preparations for 2024 and beyond. I was humbled by the response to the launch of Nikolai Azzopardi Productions and the announcement of The Great Dictator based on Charlie Chaplin's iconic film. We had nearly 60 applications for the auditions and we have put together an amazing cast to add to the jaw-dropping creative team led by Malcolm Galea. And that's not all that's coming from NAP next year so follow if you haven't already to stay up-to-date with all that's coming.

All in all, this year was a transitional year where I took my time to set everything up for what's promising to be the most exciting year of my professional career and beyond. So stay tuned because we've got some exciting times ahead.
